Here is a shot of our base of operations – Archerfield. Our office and workshop is situated airside at Archerfield Airport, which is only a five minute flight from the city. Our close proximity to the airport and city, allows us to quickly mobilise and take advantage of any good weather, even when the window of opportunity is small.
Mark Slater – our night rated helicopter pilot has thousands of hours of commercial photography experience. This expertise gives us the best chance to successfully operate in Brisbane’s busy controlled airspace, which of course encompasses the majority of Brisbane’s fastest growing suburbs.
While Brisbane skies are our home, we have strong connections in most major cities and can organise aerial operations anywhere in Australia.
We are a business built around delivering the best possible aerial imagery and motion in the fastest time possible. To see more of our work or discuss your next projected not hesitate to contact us.
It is amazing how the methods of capturing aerial imagery have changed so drastically in less than a decade. Our RnD Manager Shea Brown entered the industry in Canada when fully manual remote control helicopters were the only means of lifting a camera system for low altitude aerial photography. Since then the capabilities of aerial lifting platforms (drones) have improved as fast as the computers they use to fly. Drones now have automation, redundancy and far more accuracy, making them a much more usable and safe tool.

South East QLD is easily one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Topping off the breathtaking natural landscapes is the one and only river city.
Brisbane is a delight to shoot, not only from the helicopter and drone, but also the ground. This panorama was shot while shooting for a new development. We took the drone up to our operating ceiling of 400ft and captured this epic panorama of Brisbane CBD.
Showcasing a development from the drone is a great way to get both high overalls and intimate shots. Most of the time when shooting a site, the cost of shooting from either a helicopter or a drone works out about the same. One large advantage of shooting from a drone over a helicopter is the ability to stay on site for a long enough period of time to capture the changing light. This is possible with a helicopter, however it is far less cost effective. For more information about drone or helicopter shoots don’t hesitate to contact us!
This video is a compilation of some filming that we recently did of Surfers Paradise on the Beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland Australia. The video includes Q1, Hilton Hotel, and the magnificent Soul development Shot just on sunset and last light it makes for a spectacular footage. What a beautiful place.
Below is a completed edit of Kokoda Properties, Chester development at Newstead. We worked along side a great team of creatives and supplied all aerial imagery from both drone and helicopter which included high resolution panoramics, render backplates and aerial video.
Operating in dense urban environments presents a unique set of challenges that can often catch out inexperienced operators. Extra electrical interference, wind vortices and more distractions on the ground make operations more risky. This increased intrinsic risk makes a focus on redundancy, reliability and safety an absolute priority.
Working our way up through the cranes on site we positioned the camera using a Cinestar 8 and a Movi 5. This combination of stability and reliability worked to produced some spectacular shots!
